Binding Blank Books Workshop

Saturday June 6

Other dates...

1:30 PM  –  3:00 PM

Join the Old Salem staff in exploring another round of 18th century crafts! This time, we will get hands-on with the traditional techniques of creating hand-made blank books with colorful paste paper. This highly sought after paper was a truly Moravian tradition used in the 18th century for book binding, stationary, and crafts. This workshop will teach you the techniques you need to make small journals, ledgers, or even pocket sketchbooks.

Participants will each get to cover and bind a book of their own and make paste paper for future at-home projects. We are excited to see you there!

Space is limited to twelve (15) participants. Workshop is appropriate for ages 8+ (participants under 18 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult).

You will receive a confirmation email once the purchase transaction is completed. Please click the link in your confirmation email to view and/or print your barcoded eTicket.

Tickets may be printed in advance or presented on your mobile device upon arrival at the Single Brothers' Workshop.
