Pewter Spoons

This event is no longer on sale.

Friday August 15

6:30 PM  –  8:00 PM

Back by popular demand! Join the Old Salem metalworkers and create your own pewter spoon.

During the 18th Century, pewter was a common material for dining ware; together with tin smithing, crafting pewter accounted for a significant portion of the metalwork conducted in early Salem during this period.

Come participate in the magic of casting and learn the skill of finishing fine pewterware just like the pewter craftsman living and working in Salem during the 1700's. Using traditional tools, participants will practice the very same methods used over 200 years ago and create for themselves their own keepsake pewter spoon.

Space is limited to eight (8) participants. Ages 16+ (Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult).
