Moravian Earthenware Baking Dish

Friday July 25

Other dates...

6:30 PM  –  8:00 PM

Get ready to work with clay and create by hand one of Old Salem's oldest kitchen staples: earthenware pottery!

This highly popular workshop will demonstrate how Moravians cooked and baked using authentic earthenware pottery. Participants will learn to shape clay by hand and experience how press-mold pottery making techniques put Salem potters on the map.

If you've always wondered how the Moravians designed and produced their unique earthenware pottery, then join us for the evening and be transported back in time.

Shape clay by hand, sample baked goods made using traditional earthenware dishes and depart Old Salem with your very own finished earthenware tart dish.

Space is limited.
